ACTIVITIES 9 Sept 2023

Are you ready to witness a transformation like never before? Discover the captivating journey of nature’s revival at the Trim Park

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming project aimed at rejuvenating the heart of our beloved park. Our mission?

To restore the wooden bridges, ring bark the aliens, and create a park that stands as a testament to harmony and beauty.

Adult Participation:

Restoring Wooden Bridges:

We have 2 wooden bridges that needs some tender loving care and a coat or two of creosote.

Please come and join us and assist us restoring these bridges. Bring your paint brush and hammer and nails. We will supply the creosote.

Ring Barking the Aliens:

It’s time to bid farewell to invasive alien species that have disrupted the natural balance of our park. We need you to help us to meticulously apply environmentally-friendly ring barking product to protect our native flora. By doing so, we’re giving native plants a chance to thrive, promoting biodiversity, and enhancing the Trim Park’s ecological vitality.

Clean-Up:

A pristine park is a canvas for shared memories and cherished moments. Join us in a community-driven effort to clean up the river that flows through the Trim Park. Let’s work together to remove litter, restore benches, and create an inviting environment where families, friends, and nature enthusiasts can bask in the beauty of our surroundings.

Be Part of the Transformation:

We invite you to be a part of this incredible transformation! Your support is essential to make the Trim Park a thriving sanctuary for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re a local resident, a passionate environmentalist, or simply someone who loves spending time outdoors, your involvement can make a lasting impact.

Children’s Participation: Build mini homes for Trim Park animals.

Under the guidance of parents, kids will use found materials such as sticks, leaves, and stones to construct cozy nests and shelters. As they channel their inner architects, they’ll not only enjoy a hands-on experience in crafting these mini-homes but also learn about the importance of providing safe havens for our animal friends.

From crafting cozy nests for birds to creating snug burrows for small mammals, this activity fosters a deeper connection to nature and an understanding of the vital role we play in preserving local wildlife habitats.

Bring your little ones to Trim Park for a half day of eco-friendly adventure, where they can explore, create, and make a positive impact on the world around them. Let’s build not just homes, but lasting memories with a touch of wildlife magic!
